Entering a rest should automatically switch to Note Entry mode, just as entering a note

Description with steps to reproduce

Steps:

Setup:

1. Assume a score with some notes on it. e.g. bars 1 and 2 just contain crotchets (quarter notes), 4/4 time. e.g. C, D, E, F, G, F, E, D
2. Switch to Normal mode by pressing N.
3. Navigate somewhere, e.g. start of bar 2 (currently the G crotchet).

Experiment 1: with notes: 0. Do the setup (as above)

1. Press 4 to enter quavers (eighth notes)
2. Type G: G quaver is entered and mode switches to Note Entry, cursor advances to beat 1.5.
3. Continue typing G, F, F, E, E, D, G. The remainder of the bar fills with the notes. Cursor is now at bar 3 beat 1.

This is expected and actual behaviour.

Experiment 2, includes initial rest: 0. Do setup (as above). Remember the current state is Normal mode.

1. Type 4 to select quavers (eighth notes)
2. Type 0: a quaver rest is entered, but mode does NOT switch to Note Entry and the cursor does NOT advance.
3. Type note G: quaver G is entered over the quaver rest. Mode changes to note Entry and the cursor advances to beat 1.5.
4. Continue entering the remaining six quavers F, F, E, E, D, G. Cursor is now at bar 2 beat 4.5.

In contrast to Experiment 1, only seven quavers of music are entered instead of the required eight.

Expected behaviour: The expected outcome for bar 2 should be: quavers: rest, G, F, F, E, E, D, G

Actual behaviour: G, F, F, E, E, D, G, D ( final note is left over from the setup stage).

Expected behaviour: Typing 0 to enter a rest should automatically switch to Note Entry mode, just as typing notes A-G switch to Note Entry. This would give consistency between entering notes and entering rests.

This problem particularly affects screen reader users and others who may not be watching what is happening on screen. Worst case, a number of notes can be entered and found to be beats, or fractions of beats off what was expected.
