@cbjeukendrup, I noticed another odd behaviour related to this. Say my first measure is quarter rest, quarter note, quarter rest, quarter note, next measure is measure repeat sign. Now select the first measure and press 'R'. The repeat sign is replaced using only the quarter notes, the rests will not appear. Should I add to this issue or create a new one?

@henkdegroot Thanks! This seems closely related to the problems described in https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/15844, so I think adding a comment to that issue too would be enough.
