[MU4 Suggestion] New score > Choose instruments > Your score: allow drag and drop
Suggestions The instruments in the Your score* section should function similarly to palettes in the Score section in Musescore:
- In the Your score* section you can't move instruments by dragging them like you can do with palettes - same feature should improve UX (or maybe there's a reason behind it?)

- Similarly to palettes' three dots, the make soloist button should appear when you hover over the instrument and not just when you click on it.

- "Make soloist" button just looks ugly (especially when multiple instruments are selected). A simple fix is to just make it smaller (so it doesn't touch the edges).

Another idea about the Soloist button: I'm wondering why it isn't a checkbox... doubtlessly there is a reason for that, but I can't remember it.
@cbjeukendrup true, it actually seems better then buttons.
Also, a quick mockup for checkboxes (hover-not hover). New suggestion?
Nice idea! For the non-checked hover state, I would probably use a simple empty box rather than the "x" mark.
The only difficulty is that we need to do something with the contrast to make sure that the box is well visible on top of the hovered list item. In these images, I tweaked the color a bit. I think that was the reason to choose for a button rather than a checkbox...
It's a very similar case to this:
So that seems the way to go:
