There was a comment from @Tantacrul that mixing would be handled post-beta. The overall MuseSounds library is very soft at the moment, and theres some strong unbalancing taking place (like super loud staccatos). To my knowledge, the mixing issues should be solved prior to release.

I found that not all the notes are quiet. Some really high notes (like G5) in soprano is really loud

Further to this there area couple of things that i have specifically noticed about balance, namely for any one dynamic, bass and alto are set too softly in the balance. Their default velocity could do with being much higher (which would in turn give us more headroom on the mixer if we wanted to make it louder still in playback). For example I have set alto and bass parts near the top of the mixer slider to get parity between all four parts. Velocity doesn't seem to be working in 'Properties', so I can't see if I can make the whole alto and bass parts louder by default until it reaches parity with tenor and soprano, and then use the sliders to further adjust volume.

If I can, I would also like to raise an extra issue about the choir. Divisi using one voice does not play back at all well, it is very choppy, especially if there are faster repeated notes involved. Writing for two voices on one stave seems to fix the problem, but uses space and isn't the convention in printed homophonic choral writing. I tried switching the stems after making two voices (something I have done in MuseScore 3), but the beams collide.

Thanks for the continued excellent work :)

I've noticed that the difference between mezzo forte and forte is drastic. Mf has a color more similar to mp than f. This makes mf almost unusable in playback. Crescendoing from a mf to forte triggers a nice color for mf that could be used for mf all the way.

Hi, with the current version, musescore muse sounds choir is unusuable quiet when not in forte. So this issue still exists.

I find that I have to set the mixer volumes all the way up to +12 for them to be usable and I generally need these voice dynamic levels depending on ensemble dynamic:

Ensemble - Voice

ppp to pp - mp p to mf - mf to f <- mf and lower I generally use only for lieder and other pieces where it's voices alone or voices + small ensemble mf to f - f to ff <- Most common dynamic for me to use in orchestral scores is f for voices, sometimes ff like in an opera ff to fff - fff <- Beethoven's Ninth needs this fff dynamic level in voices at the dynamic climaxes.

still having this issue too - voices with anything other than forte are not really usable without maxing out the faders and the master fader on the mixer
