They've probably blocked the API again, I can't say I'm surprised. As I've told everyone time and time again, if people want to have something that works consistently - switch to using Grott: https://github.com/muppet3000/homeassistant-grott

Thank you for your reply. I am considering going into using Grott, still need to find some time... I have one concern though. The whole idea about it is that your HomeAssistant becomes more or less a proxy between your inverter and growatt servers. What if my home assistant for example breaks or does not work for some reason for some time. What about the updates to Growat servers... Nothing will be missed? The last thing I would achieve is to have inaccurate data gathered in growat servers and visible through my ShinePhone app.

Kind regards

Hello,

Kindly please advise me on my concern from my last email. Is it possible that when using Grott some updates from the inverter may be irreversibly lost when for example home assistant is down and inverter cannot communicate with growatt server through HA?

Kind regards, M

Hi, sorry I missed this one (I honestly thought I'd responded).

Yes, that is entirely possible that data will be missed if you take down grott.

Ok, thank you for your answer. The only thing which remains to make this stable and not interfering nor struggling with Growatt is to buy Shelly to measure power produced by the inverter. I already have Shelly 3EM to measure power consumed by my house so introducing another for inverter should work fine. Thanks for your replies
