Pokemon Puzzle League doesn't boot

Describe your system:
 - Operating System (be specific): Archlinux
 - Machine type (32-bit or 64-bit): 64
 - Mupen64Plus version:both 1.99.5 and mupen64-core hg version 600 from bitbucket
 - Plugins used: tried with both Rice and Glide64 for video


The game doesn't boot, it gets stuck to "Mupen64Plus Started...". Here are verbose
outputs for Rice and Glide64 respectively:

Any additional info I could give? I'm using the integrated GPU of my intel i5 2500k

Thanks for the bug report and also a big thank for also testing an older version to
check for a recent regression.

This is most likely a bug in the core. We need to check the most likely reason but
it may take a long time.

Same problem here with Mupen64Plus 2.5.0

Try glide64mk2. :-) The issue seems to be related to rice
