Ideas for the next version
There is probably things missing from the current version that we would like the multiformats website.
We need to have an explicit list of things missing so we can go forward with implementation.
Includes having a site structure (sitemap) to build the tasks around.
We had a meeting today, discussing the multiformats website. Tasks can be something like this:
- [ ] Similar table as the one for libp2p, would be just one table instead of many though. Has language on Y axis and the format on X. With clickable cells to go to the implementation
- [ ] Similar sections on the landing page as the libp2p one
- [ ] Title + Subtitle + paragraph explaining
- [ ] Some demo of one of the formats
- [ ] List of formats with also pretty illustrations
- [ ] Features of multiformats in general with pretty illustrations
- [ ] Talks & Conferences
- [ ] Contribute & Community
- [ ] Each format has it's own page, with interactive tools to encode/decode things into that format and explanation of the format.
I'll start off by doing some sketches of the general layout of things and also do some prototypes for the interactive tools that we discussed. Here is some of the sketches I made during the call:
Multiaddr
Multibase
Multibase - All bases at the same time
Multihash
Might be too low-fidelity, but should get the point across.
@diasdavid @jbenet sounds ok?
