Adapt the extension for Firefox Android

Ever since Mozilla re-added the "Install add-on from file" feature to Firefox for Android, all channels of Firefox for Android (including stable) have regained the ability to sideload extensions. I believe sideloading is available on Firefox for Android versions 122 and higher.

The Mullvad Browser Extension can be installed on Firefox for Android. The interface's scaling is too small and difficult to use with touch, which is a visual issue that should be able to be fixed quite easily.

Main issue: The extension blocks all network connectivity whenever the SOCKS proxy is enabled through the extension, instead of tunneling the network traffic through the proxy. Visiting any domain for which the extension has enabled the proxy shows the error "Proxy Server Refused Connection" and if the proxy is enabled for all websites, the extension's Status tab displays "Couldn't get connection details". Mullvad VPN was the active VPN on Android when this test was performed.

Other browser extensions such as FoxyProxy work flawlessly with Firefox for Android when Mullvad VPN is used, including with Mullvad SOCKS proxies, so this is not a platform issue.

The extension has not been tested on Firefox Android and we don't currently provide support for it.

It is planned at some point in the future.

Is this still on the roadmap? Foxyproxy is working but its not a nice experience compared to the official extension

@eylenburg It's filed under "Backlog" on the project board.
