Total freeze :-(

An incoming pidgin message totally freezes gnome, when the extension is on. Platform: Arch Linux.

  • gnome-shell 3.16.2-2

Installed extensions, work perfectly fine for months without any single freeze, if pidgin extension is not enabled:

  • Bitcoin Markets
  • Dynamic Top Bar
  • TopIcons

Can you please test it with those extensions disabled?

I switched off all extensions and turned on pidgin-im extension and gnome got frozen momentary :(

same thing happening here with the latest version on extensions.gnome.org and gnome-shell 3.14.4-1~deb8u1 (debian jessie)

still happening with gnome-shell 3.22.3 (debian stretch). When the first message arrives it totally freezes gnome for almost a minute
