Favorite Words

  • Wordbook version: 0.4.0 (flatpak)

  • Remember GUI shape. It's too narrow! Maybe you should consider saving the adjusted shape.
  • And adjust the font size.
  • Add forward and back buttons (for double click search).
  • Add a favorite button.

Emmmm.... Maybe some people's English is not good.

Remember GUI shape

This is planned :)

adjust the font size

Sorry, I don't want to provide such an option 😅 I want Wordbook to "just work" as an extension of your desktop. If you feel there is a need to change font size, then the UI probably has some specific issue making you feel that and I'd rather fix that instead.

Add forward and back buttons

I want to keep the headerbar as simple as possible. The history feature should be what you're looking for.

Add a favorite button.

This is interesting to think about. But I want to understand the use case. Why would you want to favorite words in a dictionary? I would assume that looking up words is a one-off action.

Why would you want to favorite words in a dictionary?

Favorite are better at sorting out things that are easy to forget than messy historical records. For some people whose first language is not English (myself included), this feature may be helpful.
