flag for custom Keyhandler location?

I was looking to make a project using SXIV that uses it as a frontend for a MPD album grid. The idea was that you would pipe in a folder of album art with names that match their mpd titles, and a custom keyhandler script could be used to select and play albums. The only issue is that SXIV has no flag for a custom keyhandler location, which means keybinds for the albumgrid may conflict with a users personal bindings. Would it be possible to add a flag for a custom keyhandler file location in order to utilize multiple keyhandler configs?
