Drawer animation lacks smoothness

Describe the bug While other places in the application have no issue, it seems like the drawer animation really lacks smoothness and appears laggy/with low fps. This can probably be improved.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Draw and undraw the drawer.

Expected behavior The animation be smoother

I don't assign issues anymore. I've seen too many people claiming an issue, but then got their PRs for Haktoberfest somewhere else and block the issue.
