Message UI : Change new message behavior

Currently, writing new message give us the following screen : 

However, after beginning a conversation, we get the following screen : 

📝 Describe the solution you'd like

I would rather prefer that writing a new message let us go to the second screen. If the conversation is new then we don't see any message. Then this icon should go to :  or even better to a custom screen with the list of conversation+contacts filtered by the search.
