Experiencing really bad frame rates

Open ccoffey opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

I am experiencing really bad frame rates when I run this on my RaspberryPi 3 model B. Is this just a hardware limitation or is there anything I can do to make this better? I'm seeing about 5 frames per second and so much lag that its practically unusable.

Installed using

sudo dpkg -i mkchromecast_mkchromecast_0.3.8.1-1_all.deb

Executed using

mkchromecast --video --screencast --resolution 720p

I have tried other resolutions but only 720p seems to work, every other resolution option causes an exception to be thrown.

I'm having the exact same problem, running on Manjaro 18 KDE

Same here. This is an 8th gen i7, so I don't think is a hardware limitation.
