Weird behavior pressing C4 and helm plays C3

Hey,

I am using Arch Linux.

having a weird issue with MIDI notes getting transposed...

• i play a note C4 on my keyboard or virtual keyboard
• it send to ardour
• check message with MIDI sniffer that it's actually a C4
• then it is forwarded into helm
• Helm then plays a C3

If i do the same without ardour, doesn't matter if ALSA of JACK same thing happens.

I am really confused how this can happen. Couple of days ago everything was working fine. Any help is more then welcome.

ok... after checking the source code. I realized the "middle C" was C3 already before. Wouldn't it be nice to have it either configurable or on C4?

Yamaha says it is C3, Roland says it is C4 (American Standard Pitch Notation)
