Allow toggling markdown checkboxes when viewing note

Open wbadart opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Hey team- love the app! One quick feature request that I've been missing since switching over from Nextcloud Notes: the ability to toggle markdown checkboxes (- [ ] foo) when viewing (that is, not editing) a note. I do see that the checkboxes in list-type notes are toggleable, but I have some notes with both prose and checkboxes where it would be nice to toggle the checkbox without manually editing in the "x" (- [x] foo).

Would love to help move this forward in any way I can, but I have no android development experience, so I'm sure my input is of limited use.

Thanks for your consideration!

EDIT: possible duplicate of #129

It seems already done in the version 1.4.3

Hmm, I'm running 1.4.3 and don't see the feature I'm thinking of.

To clarify: I see that quillnote documents can be toggled between "notes" and "lists" ("Convert to note"/ "Convert to list" in the menu when viewing a document). Every line in a list has a check box which can be toggled with a tap whether editing or viewing the document. Notes, on the other hand, contain arbitrary markdown, possibly including check boxes (the - [ ] foo syntax). What I'm describing is the ability to toggle these markdown check boxes, when viewing the rendered note.

Oh, I got it! You're absolutely right, it doesn't work for me too. That's so sad.
