greek letter snippets not working

I am new to atom, so forgive me if this has a simple fix. For me, the snippets tied to greek letters don't work in math environments (including $..$). For example, tab+cal produces \mathcal{} alright, but tab+e does not give an \epsilon, although it should according to latex.cson

I have the same problem! and I remember that it did work a month ago.. Does any one know how to fix it?
