Suggestion: Add a 'Dicussion' section to the repository

Open AgimaFR opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

To facilitate exchanges and questions between users, why not add a 'Discussion' section to the repository. This would make it possible to leave only the real bugs identified in the 'Issues' section, rather than the basic questions about operation that we all have.

Feel free!

I asked ChatGPT how to do it and only an administrator of the repository can do it @mshumer 😉

To create a "Discussions" section in a GitHub repository, you need to follow these steps:

1. Go to the main page of your GitHub repository.
2. Click on the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
3. Scroll down the page to the "Features" section.
4. In the "Features" section, you will see an option for "Discussions". Click on the checkbox next to it to enable discussions for your repository.
5. Once you have enabled discussions, a new "Discussions" section will appear in the menu at the top of your repository page.

Please note that you must be an administrator of the repository to be able to change these settings.

If GitHub has changed its interface or procedures since my last update in September 2021, I can search for more recent information if you'd like.
