In order to reproduce the issue, can you please tell me if you are running kali in a virtual environment or not?

I apologize for the wait. I run Kali on real hardware (Intel Pentium 987).

I also run Kali kinux as main OS, and it works flawless.

I suggest you a full update

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

then reboot your system

If this solution does not solve you problem, please post your system log

dmesg -T

Finally post your VirtualBox version if you have any. Keep in mind that you cannot run nathan in the same time you are running a VirtualBox machine , because both depend on the KVM kernel module.
