Loxberry periodically unreachable after change of LAN IP range

Open zamojski opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

My Loxberry installation on Proxmox VM started to periodically (more or less every 2-3 minutes) become unreachable within local network for around 20 seconds. It started to happen once I have changed the LAN IP range from 192.168.1.X to 192.168.2.X. All other devices are working fine but issues with MQTT may cause my heating system issues and I need to solve it ASAP. The IP is reserved in DHCP but still automatically assigned, not a static IP. Any ideas if Loxberry or DietPI hardcodes IP somewhere or anything that can help?

We do not hardcode any networking stuff. Maybe a DNS/Cache problem.

I've reverted the VM to backup made before the LAN IP change but it was failing in exactly the same way.

I had to setup a completely new Loxberry VM and now it's working, so clearly there's some misconfiguration in such scenario.

With which base image did you create the Proxmox VM ?

Virtual Disk Image - https://dietpi.com/downloads/images/DietPi_Proxmox-x86_64-Bookworm.qcow2.xz as in the Loxberry manual.

The old one was running on DietPI 9.0.2 as there was no way to update it from Loxberry UI and I didn't even notice it's not updated. The new one is running on DietPI 9.11.2
