Did you patch the file and singed a mail after that? Also did you check phpinfo?
The sent item not being signed was a bug indeed. I fixed it in the next release.

Yes they are. Maybe something is off with the proxy? You can test if it works by going to: /.well-known/carddav and /.well-known/caldav It should simply redirect to /caldav
