Do you know which chars should be escaped? I found that the " quotes can be removed from the entire string.

Notes don't have categories in GO now. So this isn't an easy fix right now. Maybe later.

Yes but this is intended. If you translate t("Number") it is first looked up in the module and if it's not there it falls back on the core language so...

But it never falls back on English? It falls back on the core translation in your language for common words. It only falls back to the string passed to t()...

I think this modifcation would lead to problems as we rely on fallbacks everywhere.

This could happen if messages were removed while paging or when filtering on unread and some where marked read for example.
