bug? file cannot be opened

Using encdroid on my s5 and the encrypted folder/volume is created. I copied over several .docx and .doc files as well as some .m4a files.

The m4a file plays with the app I had listed but when I try and use Google docs to open the doc and docx files it says the file cannot be opened.

I am sure the files can be opened from other folders in Google drive.

Any help?
