Load menu in PAL/50hz compatible mode?

Hi

I have a PAL console and PAL CRT.

The menu seems to load in 60hz mode which this CRT can't display, it fails vertical sync and scrolls indefinitely. When loading a PAL game everything displays normally. The console is connected via composite.

Is it possible to force PAL/50hz mode for the menu?

I've tested with another CRT that supports NTSC&PAL which the image displayed perfectly, so I don't believe it's a console issue.
