Upgrade to V2.7.0 will not run and it is driving me mad.

Open RayRCP opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

I had v2.6.0 running smoothly on Home Assistant under Debian but cannot get v2.7.0 to run. The HACS page shows the current version as v2.7.0 and presumably it is "installed" because there is a button to uninstall it. However the red button on the top right indicates that it is stopped When I try to start it, the wheel spins but eventually reports that the add-on is not running and "do I want to start it" which is back were I came in. Despite the fact that Docker wyze Bridge is said not to be running I can get to the streams and integrations from the camera. Although the Docker Wyze Bridge link to the WebUI does not appear in the sidebar, I can access it going into the localhost on port 5000 and it shows that it is on v2.6.0 with an update to 2.7.0 available. This is all beyond by technical expertise but it feels like the 2.7.0 isn't working but the remnants of 2.6.0 are. My suspicion is that it has something to do with 2FA as, in the process of doing updating the software, I was sent a 2FA code which I entered via Wyze account but I have the configuration setup with Key ID and API Key. Interestingly I have another older HA system which I was using as an earlier plaything and I can get v2.7.0 to run on that using exactly the same configuration as I am trying to use on my main system. I would be really grateful if someone could get me on the right path as it is driving me mad

docker wyze bridge

2.7.0 has a glitch where it’s showing your are on 2.6.0 on the webui and there is still an update to 2.7.0 available when you are really in 2.7.0.

I also had issues with the 2.7.0 update. I had choppy video and not loading often.

Downgraded to true 2.6.0 and I have no more issues. Hope we see an update soon @mrlt8

Thanks for the reply. I was tempted to revert to 2.6.0 but don't know how to get back to it and I don.t want to lose data by going back to an earlier backup .Is the old version still available for reinstall anywhere on Github or elsewhere or how? How did you do it?

It’s still available, I use portainer to install the docker container so I simply changed the version to 2.6.0.

Hopefully we see an update soon and you can just update to resolve.

I too am having issues with the latest build. It just does not work anymore.

Can you spoon-feed to me how I can downgrade or re-install 2.6.0 (last known working version)?

If I knew how to do it I would share it with you but I am afraid I too need spoon feeding how to revert to 2.6.0. Please let me know if you get a solution. If I find out how to do it I will share it with you. Good luck

UPDATE: After days of randomly prodding around like on of the infinite number of monkeys with typewriters eventually producing the complete works of Shakespeare, I have DWB working albeit with the bug that everyone seems to have with the WebUI reporting that it is still on v2.6.0. So to summarise DWB v2.07.0 is now installed and running with a link to the WebUI and the choppy video stream that was generating many motion detections has gone. Unfortunately I cannot say which of the many random actions I took caused it work.
