Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC) Version 1.4 issue with clink

I have noticed that I need to disable clink if I want to run Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC) Version 1.4 properly. If not I get an -1073741819 error thrown by cl.exe, rc.exe and link.exe. -1073741819 = 0xC0000005 is an Access Violation Error in Windows. Do you have an explanation?

This repo has been abandoned for a few years. A fork has become the new de facto official repo: chrisant996/clink.

If the issue still occurs with Clink v1.2.7, please report it in the repo linked above.
