Cannot delete Chinese characters

Without clink, regular cmd works fine:

With clink, it appears that it only deletes half a character each time backspace is pressed. However, it actually deletes the character.

For example, if you have 4 啊s. You press backspace twice, it leaves you with 3 啊s. However, it only has 2 啊s. The 3rd 啊 is not real.

Also, my system region is United States, so it should not be caused by some region specific issues.
