No history in Win 7 Pro

I have clink installed on Win 7 Pro/8/10 with no issues, but on one Win 7 Pro box, it was weird.

Only after I manually ran it with install option, it took effect. But history doesnt work at all, it just gives a blinking cursor. Ctrl_R is invoked but result is empty I even re-installed many times and rebooted, to no effect. Any ideas ? Thanks for a great tool !! Makes Windows so much more usable from the crap it is, for CL.
