This does not occur on 1.10.3. I recall seeing this on an unofficial firmware, so I think it came in with the SGB support, but I'm not 100% certain.
Sd2snes menu is only controllable by controller 1 or 2, and not 3 through 5 with a multitap connected to port 2 (at least not with my _HORI Multitap HSM-07_)....
