Zoom with mouse select

Could you implement an option to zoom with mouse select. For example CRTL + left mouse button select. Like drawing a square. And then zoom in to the selected part of the video. Make it configurable (button combination assignment and zoom percentage) It would be awesome.

That is too special for me doing something, if there would be a mpv user script for this, I would try to achieve compatibility.
