why if do not use '--playlist' to open playlist in 0.38, playlist items randomize

mpv version: 0.38.0
Linux Distribution and Version: Archlinux
Source of the mpv binary: official Archlinux repo
Window Manager and version: hyprland 0.39.1-5
GPU model, driver: intel vaapi

I just upgrade from 0.37 to 0.38 in arch, open my iptv playlist, channels don't show in its original order, only use '--playlist=xxx.m3u' can show properly, what's the benefit of that? It could deal both playlist and files before, it's a bother.
