Cannot Run Script to start add on

Hi,

I've tried to install the kodi add on without much success. I've added kodi onto a FireTV and installed the module request and ambilight script which both seemed to install fine, I have successfully connected to my hue bridge where I can select the lights for the groups. But unfortunately the run button is greyed out and won't let me select it, could anybody offer any advice where I could be going wrong.

this is a service addon, it runs on startup automatically and cannot be run manually.

What error are you getting on startup?

Hey keydon apologies for the late reply thanks for responding, I’m not receiving an error, the app just won’t let me hit the run button it is just greyed out from the menu. The module request and master zip installed fine and I have synced up the bridge but the prob I have is running the app, thanks

it is ok to have a greyed out run button, because it is a service! its always running in the background automatically. so if you dont get errors at startup everything is working fine as intended.

Oh right okidoke thanks keydon, I can’t seem to get the lights to start working with the screen though. I have had this working before on an earlier version of kodi but don’t seem to be having any luck with v17 should this automatically start when you start playing video?
