I've been investigating a workaround for this particular problem, and finally got it working. First, install IntelliJ IDEA with the coresponding version of Android Studio. Then, inside your IDEA installation, you'll find lombok folder in plugins folder. Copy the folder to the same location for studio.

For macOS, the .app package is actually a folder so cd into the .app location

I didnt update my Android studio to new Arctic fox version,because lombok plugin will not work. While upgrading, Android studio warns Lombok plugin cannot be used with new version of android studio. Pls fix

Note that Lombok is already installed with IntelliJ version 2020.3 (it is just not the latest)

Unlike IntelliJ IDEA, Android Studio isn't bundled with Lombok.
