Enhancement: Support for Apple Remote
Great! I finally found the only tool that supports dualhead latex beamer pdf
presentations. There
are only two things that would make the tool perfect. One is the already
mentioned timer.
The second is support for the Apple Remote Control.

Oh i forgot to mention, that i could localize the app in german if it is
desired.
Ahrg! I just saw that there is already RemoteControl support in svn. I checked
out the current version. But it does
not work properly.

hey i tried your program and i think it's amazing, only my remote also does not
work. i downloaded the source code and there are indeed references to the
remote, but i am unfamiliar with xcode/objective-c so i haven't really figured
it out yet.
do you think it is a snow leopard issue or is it not properly implemented yet?
i would like to check the whole project out after my exams

Yes it is a SL issue, i fixed it, but i don't have much time to contribute the
changes at the moment. I can send you a binary if you send me an e-mail

The Carbon API that the current code uses is still there, but doesn't work
properly in SL (and presumably not in 64 bit). There is a way to do it directly
with the HID control, but I haven't looked into it and it also has some issues
in SL.
A short term fix (which has worked perfectly well for me) is Candelair - an
extension which fixes the SL issues and restores the carbon API.

It should also fix any other apple remote supporting software which broke with
SL.

This bug could possibly be closed because there is no IR receiver on MacBooks anymore (since 2012 or so). I recently used the bluetooth remote from a Amazon FireTV Stick successfully with spiltshow.
