Markdown in some sections in the README is not having the desired effect

Some sections in the README contain markdown which is not having the desired effect. This has to do due to some formatting in the document.

For example, consider the Synopsis sub-section which now appears like

###Synopsis

However, it seems it was actually meant to look like

Synopsis

Similar is the case for the below subsections:

  • Links
  • Getting Started
  • Communication
  • Contributing
  • Project
