Zilla Slab doesn't display Spaces in Google Slides

Spaces don't appear between words on Google Slides. See below:

Hi @davelab6 I do see spaces now but Zilla Slab Highlight has spaces without highlights.

If you're impatient like me and you just want it to work in Google Slides, you can use the U+2008 Punctuation Space   " " between each word. Some fine humans shared this on stackoverflow: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17978720/invisible-characters-ascii

It's not perfect, but it gets you close. I noticed that using "two spaces" corrected the missing background fill. Thanks to everyone on this thread for helping me track down this problem.
