cjpeg 4.0.0: Unrecognized input file format for .jpeg
mozjpeg version 4.0.0 (build 20190424). Built on Ubuntu 18.04 x64 from master branch:
Unrecognized input file format --- perhaps you need -targa
3.3.2 from commit 103c6c32 works fine with the same file and same setup.
Are you sure you're running mozjpeg's cjpeg? Because this is a message from the vanilla libjpeg that you may have on your system.
Totally sure. I've been using the same local repo for both versions.
Cloned master - Built - Saw that 4.0.0 doesnt's work - Checked out 8217fd - Built - 3.3.2 OK.
I presume there's something wrong with cmake in 4.0.0, because 3.3.2 uses autoreconf. Maybe I've missed some important flags for cmake?
I've updated this message on master, and it now says whether PNG was enabled or not. Your issue says JPEG, but if it actually was PNG, that would explain the difference, since the new build system doesn't auto-detect PNG support.
