Making some fields editable AFTER the experiment has launched
There are some bits of information that should be editable AFTER the experiment has launched. These are the information that make the results repository far more valuable - primarily attaching more documents and screenshots.
-
Let us add document links to experiments any time!!! These are super helpful to have and sometimes they don't make it in before hand.
-
edit the Projects to add searchable tags
-
Bonus - but don't block on landing the other two if it takes longer: Adding screenshots!! When we go back and look at results and discuss with leadership - people see the value of screenshots
┆Issue is synchronized with this Jira Task
Related to EXP-2954 -- once we get the editable UI for rollouts implemented, this should be a simple add. Especially for things like document links that aren't going to mess with the actual experiment
this is the exact same - but i couldn't find the jira connected issue https://mozilla-hub.atlassian.net/browse/EXP-3081
@eliserichards can you add more details, since the population editable is on now, I am thinking to mark this as outreachy task
Hello @shell1 @yashikakhurana @eliserichards Can I work on this issue?
@prernadabi23 this is not outreachy task and all the information and context is not provided, search for outreach tasks only, thank you and let me know if you need help
Updating the maximum Firefox version would be useful for e.g. rollouts that eventually get landed in code:
- Launch a rollout as a stop-gap
- The feature rides the trains to release
- Update rollout to set a max-firefox-version to exclude clients that already have the feature/fix.
This ticket is not asking to change things that impact the recipe or client behavior. I am asking for a much simpler change to the meta data associated with the experiments, so that we have a more useful and accurate information and get more use from having run experiments.
ex:
- someone forgot to add experiment brief, so it is forever lost - requires admin access to edit the experimenter database to do that.
- someone forgot to add a project and later wants to classify running experiments so they are easy to find.
