Data URI displayed in private browsing URL bar

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the app and create a new private tab,
  2. Verify the URL bar

Expected behavior

A placeholder text when URL is empty.

Actual behavior

"data:text/html;base64..." displayed in new PB url bar.

Device information

  • Android device: Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (Android 8.0)
  • Reference Browser version: 1.0.1904 (build 10261218 GV 66.0a1)

Also:

  • about:blank is often seen between page loads
  • The data: URI appears in the About Reference Browser screen

Hi, I will close this ticket as it seems now that the URI information for private tabs has changed to: about:privatebrowsing as mentioned in ticket: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/reference-browser/issues/1128 .
