As a user, pressing back for a link opened in a new tab should close the tab and return me to the tab from which that link was opened

It's a long-standing behaviour of Firefox and Chrome does it, too. The "closing the tab" bit is also in some way comparable to #169, only you're obviously remaining within the browser app.
