Tabs Tray - Content is not provided for the opened site's tile

Open Diana-Rus opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Prerequisites

  • Make RB default browser.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a couple of tabs in browser.
  2. Open a 3rd party app as gmail.
  3. Long tap on an article from the account.
  4. Leave the article/page to load.
  5. Tap on the tabs tray icon.

Expected behavior

  • The content of the loaded sites is displayed for each individual site.

Actual behavior

  • Blank tile is displayed for opened sites.

Device information

  • Android device: Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8), Nokia 6 (Android 7.1.1)
  • Reference Browser version: Build created from master with GV: 77.0a1 -20200413034542

Note: The reproducibility rate is higher when custom tab is enabled but is not a decisive factor. It can be reproduced without having it enabled.

This is due to non-persistent tab thumbnails: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/android-components/issues/2754
