Tutorial still displayed after device removal

VPN version:

  • 2.9.0 (2.202206241607);

Platforms:

  • Windows 10;

Prerequisites:

  • Have the VPN app installed and opened;

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click the Settings button;
  2. Click the “Tips and Tricks” option;
  3. Click the Tutorial option;
  4. From another device, click to remove the Windows one;
  5. Observe the behavior on the Windows device;

Expected results:

  • User is signed out and Tutorial closed;

Actual results:

  • User is signed out, but the tutorial is still active.

Notes:

  • App does not work. The user can close the tutorial by resuming it.
  • Reproducing on other platforms also;

Using the mighty powers of the Bug prioritization framework ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ryjue_UIYc_JZbONgj1Q1CXaha7pXtElEYoO814AHnw/edit# ), I deem this a low priority. It does affect Windows (large platform) but it’s a corner case given the triggering required (user needs to be mid-tutorial and kill his/her own device while at it, from another one).

Right, but a similar issue can happen when the subscription expires. The fix is 1 line only.

Verified this as fixed while using 2.10.0 (2.202209210227) on Windows 10.

Removing a device while in a tutorial works as expected.
