[MacOS][a11y] Some numbers overlay are not anchored correctly nor work as expected while using Voice Control

When using Voice Controls on Mac, user can say "Show Numbers" to show an overlay where all interactive components in the app are numbered. The user can then say "Click 1" etc to activate the control. VPN and Voice Control work pretty well with interactive controls, that are accessible, however the overlay looks like it's not anchored correctly. It looks like the top level app/window is not anchored currently and thus the offsets are somehow wrong.

@lesleyjanenorton @bakulf Quick question on this: what exactly makes this a UX issue, could you help clarity this a bit more for me so I can identify if there are any design needs here? Otherwise I will remove the UX tag and mark it accordingly. Thank you!

From the accessibility perspective this is definitely not a deal breaker (in terms of priority)

This seems to be resolved though I'm not sure by which commit. Sorry for the quality of these photos, I had to take them with my phone because the numbers disappear when I try to take a screenshot. Closing this for now since it appears to be working as expected, but happy to reopen if necessary.

Look s like still an issue on my side though the offset is not as bad as when this was originally reported. Screenshot of the VPN app that shows voice control numbers overlay mis-aligned

Looks like this is an issue with scaling that happens when using the external display. It works on the main screen (in case it's a laptop) but is misplaced on the secondary one.

@chrismore -- @lesleyjanenorton has stated that it only happens on external displays and works as expected otherwise.

Verified this on a Mac OS 10.15.7 using Voice Control feature and observed that the numbers from Settings page (and subcategories), are not consecutive, but some are skipped, any logical explanation fro this or should we log an issue @lesleyjanenorton? VPN version used: 2.0 cross-plat production build. Please see the screenshot below. image

Removing the UX tag on this issue as it seems more like a regular bug.

Verified this on MacOS 13 while using Mozilla VPN 2.15.0 (2.202304210152) build.

The majority of the screens list the interactive numbers components while using Voice Control.

Exceptions: Select location - Recommended servers - too many numbers, Messages center - no numbers for messages, My devices - no numbers for devices list.

Interacting with them works for the majority of displayed numbers. (did not check each one).

Exceptions: while in Languages screen, selecting a language is possible, but the changes do not apply and navigating back will show no language being selected.
