Remove gift button and introduce a new Setting entry to access the latest release notes

Open rtestard opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

User proposal

Per https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-ios/issues/3357 we want to change the flow allowing users to access release notes details to avoid confusing them.

Ideas for Solution

  • Remove the gift button
  • Add a link underneath the "Mozilla" section that points to the release notes (display content within the Settings section as the current gift icon does)

thanks @jeffreygee Why not having the whatsnew section part of the settings?

I was mirroring Firefox, but after talking to the other designers, the best UX is to add it also on website view. @rilury - i have updated the mocks accordingly. @rtestard - should we be also carrying over 'Help'?

Settings .

I will add whats new also on browsing menu, as you showed in the pic. I updated my PR. Thank you!

@jeffreygee as I verified this, can we remove the UX label?
