Same here but it does not only in search, some websites it does to.

I also experience this issue in Safari and in Firefox in the past few day but so far I was no longer able to reproduce the issue. @Richard-Gosnell @0x3333 are you able to reproduce the issue in Safari as well?

Nope. I don’t use Safari to be truth. But in some tests it worked as expected. I use Firefox in iOS, and it is working fine. Just Focus is showing this issue. I couldn’t find a correlation with a website or something like that. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t.

Confirming that this issue is only reproducible in Focus. Tested on iPhone 13 mini (15.1) on v9000 (11935)

Hey Mozilla folks. I have been hitting this issue for a few months now, honestly every single time I use the browser (daily). Given it's one of the primary use cases "a quick disposable search", any chance we could get this some priority?

Hello, we will look into it and ofc a fix for the next releases.

This is really annoying, it happens 3/5 times I google something

I'm having the same issue. It also happens around 3 times out of every 5 times I google something. So annoying I'm abandoning the app for now until a fix is introduced.

Can't believe this issue has been open for four months when one of the main purposes of the app is quick search. Really poor prioritisation of bug fixes. It's in the 'Unprioritised Backlog'. Yaaaaay.

Someone reported this through private DM to @FirefoxSupport Twitter account recently. They're using Firefox Focus 100, iOS 15.5.

Hello, can anyone here please confirm if this still reproduces? If so can you please provide details on the device, OS, Focus version country loac ation and details of the Google search engine result page URL?

I moved to duckduckgo, so I can't confirm in Google, but so far so good, no issues.

0x3333 avatar Oct 11 '22 13:10 0x3333

Google is doing fine for me on Focus 105.0/iOS 15.6.1

kelimuttu avatar Oct 11 '22 13:10 kelimuttu

It used to be very bad a few months back, but lately I think it’s been working fine. Thank you

Thanks all for the feedback, super appreciated. Since this is an issue we never managed to replicate and that issue seems to have resolved itself (could be a Google issue that resolved as a Google update) I'll close this issue but feel free to re-open in case it shows up again.
