I've gone through the build to understand this issue. Here's what I found:

Behavior (as I saw it)

After testing, the error page thumbnails are displaying correctly in the tab tray. When a webpage fails to load and shows an error page, the tab tray correctly shows the error page thumbnail (not the homepage placeholder).

Image

Wikipedia tab: shows the error page thumbnail (fox illustration with "Looks like there's a problem with your internet connection" message) BBC Home tab: shows the error page thumbnail (same error page) Homepage tab: show the blank homepage placeholder

This matches the expected behavior that is webpage tabs show the error page placeholder, and homepage tabs show the homepage placeholder.

I touched on edge case like after seeing error page quickly opens tab tray to check other tabs might catch up with the race condition, was not able to reproduce still.

Diana Andreea Barladeanu It seems that Ananya could not reproduce the issue. Could we verify if this still exists in the latest builds for you. If so, maybe we can provide more detailed steps. Thank you!

I am unable to reproduce it in v9000(65950), with iPhone 16+(26.2).
