Wallpaper Onboarding integration with backend

Open data-sync-user opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

When I open the homepage, I see an option to select a wallpaper as the background, so that I can add a pop of colour to my browser

Acceptance Criteria

  • getting the correct thumbnails from the wallpaper manager
  • default behaviour should be pulling 3 top wallpapers from the first seasonal collection
    • this case exists in case we have multiple seasonal collections in the future

Notes

  • Wallpaper selector tool will still be displayed if user has a wallpaper selected because we will have new wallpapers to choose from
  • This ticket doesn’t include adding an indicator for which wallpapers need to be downloaded, but another ticket will be added in future

Winnie Teichmann I am unable to see the commit attached to this issue. Could you please specify on what version did the patch land? Thanks

Simion Basca it’s included in commit e4cb3e5248407c7f8101e69e53df83c967da2537. Please note that the backend is not ready yet and while I use backend method the data is currently dummy data and the functionality is not ready either. For example setting a wallpaper will not work until the backend is ready.
