(info) Great Survey
This is not an issue, more of a thank you.
I was looking for an excuse to drop support for the rtl8812au and now I have it ... :)
Now I can get a cheapo MTK7612u dongle from Amazon for £12.99 and forget about all this Realtek Malarkey.
Thanks for all your Great Work.
Hey Gord, good to hear from you.
Malarkey... I like that word and it describes Realtek support perfectly. Moving over to an adapter with a mt7612u chipset gives us the ability to report problems and suggest features. Hey we can even submit changes that could end up in the Linux kernel. How cool is that?

I second the thank you sentiment. I have been using gordboy's driver for some time. Started running into an issue once I got to 5.13 , and saw in one of the issues on that project referencing yours, which led me to the Alfa adapter at the top of your list.
It's been so long that I've been building the drivers, that at some point I forgot to even think that there had to be an alternative.
In any event, thank you again!
You are welcome. How is that Alfa adapter working out for you?
So far, so good.
I use the cradle that came with my previous adapter and I'm getting better speeds at my desk, and the adapter is now neatly tucked under the desk, where I used to have it in the far corner of the desk to try and get the best signal possible.
