Hi, long story short, i need to boot ipxe from cdrom, after loading linux26 and initrd, i got a kernel panic, unable to mount root device, any idea how to fix this? booting from network without CD it work just fine, thanks!

Hm, no. Not really an idea. Probably, just guessing, because the installer is searching for the files in wrong place.

Are you using 2 cd-rom drives for booting then? One w/ ipxe, another one w/ proxmox?

one w/ipxe, that's it, proxmox load by network, that's what ipxe is for (?)

Sure

I've just tried w/ latest ipxe.iso within a Proxmox VM an it works without problems.

didn't try on a vm, i will try later, on a physical server can't find the files to load the installer

the ISO that you append onto your initrd really really has to be named "../proxmox.iso" for the network booting part.
