Taking multiple frames from buffer

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to take more than one frame at a time from the camera buffer. I was trying to play around with get_image_ptr() but I didn't manage, it seems that it is only possible to take the latest frame. Is this something that could be changed? Or is the camera not allowing it?
